Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) qualified for the 2016 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Shannon Kleibrink (Okotoks, AB). of the 2016 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Cranbrook, British Columbia;

Scheidegger finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scheidegger lost 6-5 to Marla Mallett (Walnut Grove, BC), droppimg another game, 8-3 to Nina Roth (Blaine, USA) where Scheidegger responded with a 7-5 win over Corryn Brown (Kamloops - New Westminster - Nanaimo, BC). Scheidegger won 4-3 against Jacqueline Harrison (Mississauga, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Scheidegger earned 20.524 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 19th place overall with 243.411 total points.
