Therese Westman (Stockholm, SWE) won 7-6 over Isabella Wrana (Stockholm, SWE) in the Final of the Swedish Junior Championship, held January 2 - 5, 2016 in Umea, Sweden.

Westman finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Westman lost 5-3 to Tova Sundberg (Ostersund, SWE), then responded with a 14-3 win over Vendela Holmgren (Malmo, SWE). Westman won 7-2 against Wilma Hornay (Fyris, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Swedish Junior Championship Championship title, Westman earned 11.970 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, Westman did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Westman ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
