Bill Watson (Simcoe, CAN) finished 5-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Watson defeated British Columbia's Jim Vinson 9-8, then won 9-1 against Nova Scotia's Louise Gillis and 9-5 against Saskatchewan's Natasha Acher. Watson won 8-6 against Manitoba's Norman Lyons. Watson went on to lose 8-7 against Norm Green (Kitchener, ON). Watson responded with a 9-2 win over Newfoundland / Labrador's Maurice Colbert in their final qualifying round match.

. For week of the event schedule, Watson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Watson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
