Craig Joiner (Forfar, SCO) finished 2-5 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Joiner lost 10-5 to Ross Whyte (Dumfries, SCO), droppimg another game, 10-3 to Cameron McNay (Dumfries, SCO). Joiner lost 9-4 to James Hay (Perth, SCO). Joiner lost 10-2 to Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO) where Joiner responded with a 7-6 win over Grant Barr (Perth, SCO). Joiner won 8-4 against Robin Brydone (Stirling, SCO). Joiner went on to lose 9-1 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Joiner earned 0.470 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
