Ross Whyte (Dumfries, SCO) finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Whyte defeated Craig Joiner (Forfar, SCO) 10-5, then won 5-4 against Robin Brydone (Stirling, SCO) and 10-4 against Grant Barr (Perth, SCO). Whyte went on to lose 8-5 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO). Whyte responded with a 10-5 win over James Hay (Perth, SCO). Whyte won 7-4 against Cameron McNay (Dumfries, SCO). Whyte went on to lose 7-3 against Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Whyte earned 6.662 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Scottish Curling Junior Championships. For week of the event schedule, Whyte did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Whyte ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
