Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) won 8-3 over Cameron McNay (Dumfries, SCO) in the Final of the Scottish Curling Junior Championships, held January 27 - 31, 2016 in Aberdeen, Scotland.
 
Mouat finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated James Hay (Perth, SCO) 7-4, then won 7-4 against Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO) and 9-3 against McNay. Mouat won 8-5 against Ross Whyte (Dumfries, SCO), then won 7-3 against Robin Brydone (Stirling, SCO) and 10-3 against Grant Barr (Perth, SCO). Mouat won 9-1 against Craig Joiner (Forfar, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Scottish Curling Junior Championships Championship title, Mouat earned 10.973 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, Mouat did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Mouat ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
