Sophie Jackson (Sitrling, SCO) won 7-5 over Katie Murray (Stirling, SCO) in the Final of the Scottish Curling Junior Championships, held January 27 - 31, 2016 in Aberdeen, Scotland.
 
Jackson finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jackson defeated Kara Compton (Stranraer, SCO) 10-3, then won 10-6 against Murray and 7-4 against Amy Bryce (Dumfries, SCO). Jackson won 6-1 against Karina Aitken (Stirling, SCO), then won 8-1 against Scotland's Lisa Davie and 7-5 against Lesley Young (Stirling, SCO). Jackson went on to lose 8-7 against Scotland's Ellie Hamilton in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Scottish Curling Junior Championships Championship title, Jackson earned 8.978 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, Jackson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jackson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
