John Shuster (Duluth, USA) lost 10-4 to Brady Clark (Seattle, WA) in the Final of the USA Men's National Curling Championship, held February 6 - 13, 2016 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Shuster finished 7-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Shuster defeated Heath McCormick (New York, NY) 9-5, then won 8-2 against Pete Fenson (Blaine, USA). Shuster went on to lose 10-7 against Clark. Shuster responded with a 9-3 win over Alex Leichter (Boston, MA). Shuster went on to lose 8-2 against Korey Dropkin (Blaine, USA). Shuster responded with a 9-6 win over Brandon Corbett (Rochester, NY). Shuster won 8-6 against Todd Birr (Blaine, MN), then won 10-5 against Hunter Clawson (Baltimore, MD) and 8-5 against Craig Brown (Blaine, USA) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the USA Men's National Curling Championship, Shuster take home 34.031 world rankings points. Shuster move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 29.403 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 12th overall with 355.867 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Shuster ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 228.895 points earned so far this season.
