Debra Horn (Cleveland, OH) finished 4-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Horn defeated Shelley Dropkin (Wayland, MA) 11-10, then won 6-5 against Catherine Shuttleworth (Fairbanks, AK). Horn went on to lose 7-6 against Norma O'Leary (Duluth, MN). Horn responded with a 10-2 win over Kelly Stephens (Tempe, AZ). Horn won 10-2 against Anne Wiggins (Laurel, MD). Horn went on to lose 9-4 against Kathy Pielage (Madison, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
