After advancing directly to the championship game, Tanner Horgan (Copper Cliff, NONT) lost 11-4 to Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Canadian Junior Men's Championship presented by Egg Farmers of Ontario, held January 23 - 31, 2016 in Stratford, Ontario.
 
Horgan finished 9-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Horgan defeated Brayden Klassen (Whitehorse, YK) 9-5, then won 7-3 against Alex Robichaud (Moncton, NB) and 7-6 against Matthew MacLean (O'Leary, PEI). Horgan went on to lose 8-3 against Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC). Horgan responded with a 13-3 win over Matthew Miller (Inuvik, NT). Horgan won 7-4 against Jake Hersikorn (Saskatoon, SK), then won 8-6 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) and 6-4 against Doug Kee (Ottawa, ON). Horgan won 7-5 against Dunstone, then won 5-4 against Felix Asselin (Montreal, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Canadian Junior Men's Championship presented by Egg Farmers of Ontario, Horgan take home 15.115 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, Horgan did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Horgan ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
