Jake Hersikorn (Saskatoon, SK) finished 5-5 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hersikorn defeated Matthew Miller (Inuvik, NT) 12-4, then went on to lose 8-6 against Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC). Hersikorn responded with a 10-3 win over Matthew MacLean (O'Leary, PEI). Hersikorn won 8-3 against Brayden Klassen (Whitehorse, YK). Hersikorn went on to lose 7-4 against Tanner Horgan (Copper Cliff, NONT). Hersikorn lost 10-6 to Alex Robichaud (Moncton, NB) where Hersikorn responded with a 8-5 win over Felix Asselin (Montreal, QC). Hersikorn went on to lose 6-3 against Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB). Hersikorn responded with a 5-1 win over Doug Kee (Ottawa, ON). Hersikorn went on to lose 7-6 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Hersikorn earned 2.061 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Hersikorn did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hersikorn ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
