Therese Westman (Stockholm, SWE) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Westman finished 5-4 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Westman lost 8-6 to Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA), droppimg another game, 10-3 to Mary Fay (Chester, CAN). Westman lost 12-5 to Elena Stern (Luzern, SUI) where Westman responded with a 7-6 win over Sophie Jackson (Sitrling, SCO). Westman won 10-4 against Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR). Westman went on to lose 7-6 against Korea's Min Ji Kim. Westman responded with a 7-5 win over Ayano Tsuchiya (Karuizawa, JPN). Westman won 9-3 against Dorottya Palancsa (Budapest, HUN), then won 9-5 against Evgeniy Demkina (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.

Westman earned 2.501 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Westman did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Westman ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
