In their opening game, Kleiter defeated Brayden Stewart (Maryfield, SK) 7-6, then won 9-8 against Shawn Vereschagin (Saskatoon, SK) and 10-3 against Brett Banadyga (Regina, SK). Kleiter won 6-5 against Tyson Williamson (Regina, SK), then won 8-3 against Chad Lang (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
