Tucker Smith (Rolla, ND) finished 2-3 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith defeated Minnesota's Josh Bahr 7-5, then went on to lose 10-4 against Todd Birr (Blaine, MN). Smith responded with a 13-7 win over Bret Jackson (Brighton, MI). Smith went on to lose 8-2 against Hunter Clawson (Baltimore, MD). Smith lost 10-4 to Mike Farbelow (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

Smith earned 1.046 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 230th place overall with 10.480 total points. Smith ranks 192nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.655 points earned so far this season.
