Michael Stefanik (Schenectady, NY) finished 6-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stefanik defeated Yushi Yang (Ardsley, NY) 10-3, then won 8-2 against Matthew Gallegos (Ardsley, NY). Stefanik went on to lose 11-7 against Gert Messing (Ardsley, NY). Stefanik responded with a 8-2 win over Brian Damon (Falmouth, MA). Stefanik went on to lose 9-3 against Martin Sather (Ardsley, NY). Stefanik responded with a 12-6 win over Jeff Hannon (Bridgeport, CT). Stefanik won 9-4 against Keith Dropkin (Wayland, MA), then won 6-3 against Hunter Clawson (Potomac, MD). Stefanik went on to lose 7-6 against Sather in their final qualifying round match.
