In their opening game, Kean lost 8-7 to Wayne Tuck Jr. (Brantford, ON), then responded with a 7-6 win over Ryan McCrady (Ottawa, ON). Kean went on to lose 8-4 against Jake Walker (Peterborough, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
