Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) won 5-0 over Jordan Chandler (Sudbury, NONT) in the Final Jacobs advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Northern Ontario Travelers Championship, held February 10 - 14, 2016 at the North Bay Granite Curling Club in North Bay, Canada.
Jacobs finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) 8-4, then won 8-6 against Patrick Gelinas (Mattawa, NONT). Jacobs went on to lose 8-5 against Dylan Johnston (Thunder Bay, ON). Jacobs responded with a 6-3 win over Robbie Gordon (Sudbury, NONT). Jacobs won 8-3 against Chandler, then won 9-2 against Colin Koivula (Thunder Bay, NONT) and 5-2 against Mike Assad (Geraldton, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Northern Ontario Travelers Championship Championship title, Jacobs earned 10.815 world rankings points. For week 26 of the event schedule, Jacobs did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jacobs ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
