Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB) won 7-5 over Kristy McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Manitoba Scotties, held January 19 - 24, 2016 in Beausejour, Manitoba.

Einarson finished 6-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Einarson lost 11-10 to Cheryl Reed (Brandon, MB), then responded with a 8-3 win over Lisa Menard (Dauphin, MB). Einarson won 7-1 against Jennifer Rolles (Thompson, MB), then won 8-1 against Janet Harvey (Winnipeg, MB) and 8-5 against Cathy Overton-Clapham (Winnipeg, MB). Einarson won 12-2 against Barb Spencer (Winnipeg , MB), then won 9-5 against Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Manitoba Scotties Championship title, Einarson earned 27.300 world rankings points. Einarson move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 25.826 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 16th overall with 277.571 total points on the World Ranking Standings. WOLFVILLE, N.S. — Edmonton’s Team Selena Sturmay solidified a berth into the 2025 Montana’s Canadian Curling Trials, presented by Connect Hearing, with a 9-4 win over Team Kayla MacMillan (Victoria) in the third and final game of the women’s best-of-three final at the 2025 Home Hardware Canadian Pre-Trials on Sunday afternoon.
