Michael Johnson (New Westminster, BC) finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Johnson defeated Will House (Richmond, BC) 8-3, then won 8-3 against Tyler Klymchuk (New Westminster, BC) and 6-4 against Chase Martyn (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the BC CDI Lower Mainland Playdowns Championship title, Johnson earned 9.188 world rankings points. For week 17 of the event schedule, Johnson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Johnson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
