Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) finished 5-4 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Middaugh lost 8-6 to Erin Morrissey (Ottawa, ON), then responded with a 8-3 win over Allison Flaxey (Caledon, ON). Middaugh won 7-2 against Julie Hastings (Thornhill, ON), then won 8-7 against Cathy Auld (Toronto, ON). Middaugh went on to lose 6-4 against Jacqueline Harrison (Mississauga, ON). Middaugh lost 9-8 to Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON). Middaugh lost 6-5 to Jenn Hanna (Ottawa, ON) where Middaugh responded with a 8-7 win over Mallory Kean (Stoney Creek, ON). Middaugh won 9-5 against Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Middaugh earned 5.948 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 8th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 1.875 after improving upon their best so far this season. Middaugh ranks 17th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 153.789 points earned so far this season.
