Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO) finished 7-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead lost 7-2 to Lene Nielsen (Hvidovre, DEN), then responded with a 11-3 win over Cissi Ostlund (Karlstad, SWE). Muirhead won 8-1 against Oona Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Muirhead went on to lose 7-6 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS). Muirhead responded with a 9-3 win over Dorottya Palancsa (Budapest, HUN). Muirhead won 8-6 against Daniela Driendl (Fï¿½ssen , GER), then won 10-1 against Maile Molder (Tallinn, EST) and 7-5 against Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI). Muirhead won 9-4 against Kristin Moen Skaslien (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Le Gruyere European Curling Championships, Muirhead take home 31.274 world rankings points, remaining in 4th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 580.890 total points. Muirhead ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 160.880 points earned so far this season.
