Oona Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN) finished 6-3 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kauste lost 11-1 to Cissi Ostlund (Karlstad, SWE), then responded with a 12-7 win over Dorottya Palancsa (Budapest, HUN). Kauste went on to lose 8-1 against Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO). Kauste responded with a 8-3 win over Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI). Kauste won 12-5 against Daniela Driendl (Fï¿½ssen , GER), then won 8-6 against Kristin Moen Skaslien (Oslo, NOR). Kauste went on to lose 9-1 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS). Kauste responded with a 7-6 win over Lene Nielsen (Hvidovre, DEN). Kauste won 7-4 against Maile Molder (Tallinn, EST) in their final qualifying round match.

Kauste earned 24.166 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Le Gruyere European Curling Championships, moving up 46 spots the World Ranking Standings into 83rd place overall with 38.320 total points. Kauste ranks 75th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 26.270 points earned so far this season.
