Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI) lost 7-4 to Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI) in the Final of the Swiss League Championship, held February 13 - 20, 2016 in Flims, Switzerland.

De Cruz finished 8-2 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, De Cruz defeated Felix Attinger (Dubendorf, SUI) 9-3, then won 6-5 against Yves Hess (Zug, SUI) and 8-5 against Yannick Schwaller (Berne, SUI). De Cruz won 9-6 against Kevin Wunderlin (Biel, SUI). De Cruz went on to lose 7-5 against Michel. De Cruz responded with a 5-3 win over Hess. De Cruz won 6-3 against Schwaller, then won 6-3 against Wunderlin. De Cruz went on to lose 9-5 against Michel. De Cruz responded with a 10-6 win over Attinger in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Swiss League Championship, De Cruz take home 16.929 world rankings points. De Cruz move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 11.565 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 17th overall with 290.408 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
