Lyburn finished 3-0 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lyburn defeated Forrest 7-3, then won 5-4 against Daley Peters (Winnipeg, MB) and 4-2 against Ramsay in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the MCT Championships Championship title, Lyburn earned 22.543 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 32nd place overall with 126.384 total points.
