Korte went on to lose 8-7 against Brent Gedak (Estevan, SK). Korte responded with a 6-2 win over Darren Camm (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Korte earned 6.683 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Saskatoon Nutana SCT Classic, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 52nd place overall with 84.754 total points. Korte ranks 44th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 61.584 points earned so far this season.
