To advance to the championship game, Meachem won 6-4 over Ray Sharp (Yorkton, SK) in the semifinals of the 2016 Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship in Humboldt, Saskatchewan; and won 7-4 over Shane Vollman (Regina, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship in Humboldt, Saskatchewan;
Meachem finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Meachem lost 9-2 to Jesse St. John (Kindersley, SK), then responded with a 7-3 win over Scott Bitz (Regina, SK). Meachem won 8-5 against Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK), then won 5-2 against Ryan Deis (Fox Valley, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship, Meachem take home 14.047 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN prize. Meachem move up 5 spots after posting a net gain of 13.005 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 32nd overall with 133.940 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
