To advance to the championship game, Meachem won 6-4 over Ray Sharp (Yorkton, SK) in the semifinals of the 2016 Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship in Humboldt, Saskatchewan; and won 7-4 over Shane Vollman (Regina, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship in Humboldt, Saskatchewan;

Meachem finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Meachem lost 9-2 to Jesse St. John (Kindersley, SK), then responded with a 7-3 win over Scott Bitz (Regina, SK). Meachem won 8-5 against Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK), then won 5-2 against Ryan Deis (Fox Valley, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship, Meachem take home 14.047 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN prize. Meachem move up 5 spots after posting a net gain of 13.005 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 32nd overall with 133.940 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Meachem ranks 21st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 118.312 points earned so far this season.
