Doug MacKenzie (Windsor, NS) run at the 2015 Sobeys Classic came to an end in the semifinals with a 7-3 loss to Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS). of the 2015 Sobeys Classic in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia; MacKenzie advanced through the quarterfinals with a 5-2 win over Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS). of the 2015 Sobeys Classic in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia;

MacKenzie finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacKenzie lost 7-3 to Chad Stevens (Halifax , NS), then responded with a 8-5 win over Jamie Danbrook (Halifax, NS). MacKenzie went on to lose 8-5 against Ian Fitzner-Leblanc (Halifax, NS). MacKenzie responded with a 8-7 win over Shawn Adams (Halifax, NS). MacKenzie won 7-3 against Robert Mayhew (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

MacKenzie earned 13.176 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Sobeys Classic, moving up 174 spots the World Ranking Standings into 120th place overall with 14.685 total points. MacKenzie ranks 56th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 13.176 points earned so far this season.
