Meachem finished 2-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Meachem defeated Greg Todoruk (Dauphin, MB) 10-2, then went on to lose 8-3 against Daley Peters (Winnipeg, MB). Meachem responded with a 5-3 win over Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Meachem earned 1.042 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, dropping 2 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 36th place overall with 102.056 total points. Meachem ranks 21st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 86.428 points earned so far this season.
