Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau PwC, SUI) won 8-2 over Margaretha Sigfridsson (Sundsvall, SWE) in the Final of the Glynhill Ladies International, held January 14 - 17, 2016 in Glasgow, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Tirinzoni won 7-3 over Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS) in the semifinals of the 2016 Glynhill Ladies International in Glasgow, Scotland; and won 8-2 over Isabelle Maillard (Uitikon, SUI) in the quarterfinals.
 
Tirinzoni finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tirinzoni defeated Sophie Jackson (Stirling, SCO) 10-1, then won 7-4 against Lauren Gray (Glasgow, UK) and 7-2 against Sigfridsson. Tirinzoni won 8-3 against Kristin Moen Skaslien (Oslo, NOR), then won 10-2 against Anna Kubeskova (Praha, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Glynhill Ladies International Championship title, Tirinzoni earned 37.657 world rankings points along with the $6,217CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 29.959 after improving upon their best so far this season. Tirinzoni ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 321.021 points earned so far this season.
