Jamie Newson (Charlottetown, PEI) qualified for the 2015 Truro Cashspiel playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 11-5 against Paul Dexter (Halifax, NS). of the 2015 Truro Cashspiel in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada;

Newson finished 3-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Newson defeated Nick Hilton (Yarmouth, NS) 8-4, then won 6-1 against Alan O'Leary (Dartmouth, NS). Newson went on to lose 9-6 against Glen MacLeod (Halifax, NS). Newson responded with a 5-4 win over Ian Fitzner-Leblanc (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
