Birt finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Birt defeated Cristin Clark (Blaine, MN) 7-1, then won 7-4 against Jamie Sinclair (Blaine, USA). Birt went on to lose 6-4 against Chelsea Carey (Calgary, AB). Birt responded with a 5-4 win over Minnesota's Alexandra Carlson in their final qualifying round match.
Birt earned 17.559 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the ASHAM U.S. Open of Curling, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 47th place overall with 95.129 total points. Birt ranks 35th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 79.573 points earned so far this season.
