Kelly finished 2-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kelly defeated Jim Janzen (Chatham, ON) 8-3, then went on to lose 7-4 against Young Jr.. Kelly responded with a 8-2 win over Kelly Schuh (London, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Chatham Granite Cash Spiel, Kelly take home 6.859 world rankings points along with the $1,300CDN prize, moving up 24 spots the World Ranking Standings into 126th place overall with 25.768 total points. Kelly ranks 126th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.580 points earned so far this season.
