Nielsen went on to lose 6-2 against Margaretha Sigfridsson (Sundsvall, SWE). Nielsen responded with a 7-5 win over Federica Apollonio (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA). Nielsen went on to lose 10-7 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS). Nielsen responded with a 8-4 win over Daniela Driendl (Fï¿½ssen , GER) in their final qualifying round match.

Nielsen earned 12.677 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 51st place overall with 106.032 total points. Nielsen ranks 62nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 64.032 points earned so far this season.
