Kim won 8-7 against Chelsea Carey (Calgary, CAN), then won 7-5 against Federica Apollonio (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA). Kim went on to lose 7-5 against Binia Feltscher (Flims, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
Kim earned 12.677 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 61st place overall with 83.005 total points. Kim ranks 59th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 66.025 points earned so far this season.
