Hanna won 7-5 against Chelsea Carey (Calgary, AB). Hanna went on to lose 5-4 against Stacie Curtis (St. John's, NL). Hanna responded with a 6-4 win over Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton, NB). Hanna won 8-5 against Suzanne Birt (Charlottetown, PEI). Hanna went on to lose 7-4 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, CAN). Hanna responded with a 6-4 win over Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

Hanna earned 12.220 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. Hanna move up 6 spots after posting a net gain of 11.152 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 53rd overall with 95.236 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Hanna ranks 46th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 83.338 points earned so far this season.
