Mei finished 2-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mei lost 6-4 to Lindsay Makichuk (Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 5-4 win over Michelle Hartwell (Edmonton, AB). Mei won 7-0 against Karynn Flory (Edmonton, ) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Avonair Cash Spiel Championship title, Mei earned 20.387 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 123 spots the World Ranking Standings into 82nd place overall with 21.090 total points. Mei ranks 35th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 21.015 points earned so far this season.
