Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT) won 5-3 over Minnesota's Cory Christensen in the Final of the Curl Mesabi Classic, held December 18 - 20, 2015 at the Curl Mesabi in Eveleth, United States. To advance to the championship game, McCarville won 7-2 over Minnesota's Courtney George in the semifinals of the Curl Mesabi Classic in Eveleth, Minnesota, United States; and won 7-2 over Norma O'Leary (Duluth, MN) in the quarterfinals. of the Curl Mesabi Classic in Eveleth, Minnesota, United States;
 
McCarville finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCarville defeated Emily Anderson (Broomall, PA) 8-5, then won 5-3 against Nina Roth (Blaine, USA). McCarville went on to lose 6-4 against Minnesota's Courtney George. McCarville responded with a 6-3 win over Lysa Johnson (Blaine, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Curl Mesabi Classic Championship title, McCarville earned 21.556 world rankings points along with the $4,454CDN first prize cheque. For week 18 of the event schedule, McCarville did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. McCarville ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
