Shaun Meachem (Saskatoon, SK) won 8-4 over Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the HDF Insurance Shoot-Out, held September 17 - 20, 2015 in Edmonton, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Meachem won 6-2 over Bruce Korte (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2015 HDF Insurance Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta; and won 9-4 over Soo-Hyuk Kim (Gangwon, KOR) in the quarterfinals. of the 2015 HDF Insurance Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta;
Meachem finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Meachem lost 7-2 to Kim, droppimg another game, 9-1 to Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) where Meachem responded with a 8-2 win over Tyler van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB). Meachem won 6-3 against Jamie King (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the HDF Insurance Shoot-Out Championship title, Meachem earned 30.319 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 60 spots the World Ranking Standings into 41st place overall with 45.947 total points. Meachem ranks 18th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 30.319 points earned so far this season.
