To advance to the championship game, De Cruz won 6-2 over Adam Casey (Charlottetown, PEI) in the semifinals of the 2015 CookstownCash presented by Comco Canada Inc in Cookstown, Ontario, Canada; and won 5-4 over Mark Kean (Stoney Creek, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2015 CookstownCash presented by Comco Canada Inc in Cookstown, Ontario, Canada;

De Cruz finished 4-0 in the 30-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, De Cruz defeated Neil Currie (Cookstown, ON) 6-1, then won 7-1 against Heath McCormick (New York City, NY) and 10-1 against Se Hyeon Seong (Uiseong, KOR). De Cruz won 5-3 against Colin Dow (Carp, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
