Lawton finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lawton defeated Allison Flaxey (Caledon, ON) 5-4, then went on to lose 7-2 against Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO). Lawton responded with a 5-4 win over Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB). Lawton went on to lose 6-4 against Einarson in their final qualifying round match.
 
Lawton earned 28.481 world rankings points for their Top 7 finish in the Humpty's Champions Cup, remaining in 18th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 24.164 after improving upon their best so far this season. Lawton ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 212.450 points earned so far this season.
