Epping went on to lose 4-2 against Mouat. Epping responded with a 5-2 win over Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Epping earned 25.045 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Challenge Chateau Cartier de Gatineau, remaining in 9th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 310.628 total points.
