In their opening game, Blyde lost 9-7 to Jeff Wanless (Mississauga, ON), then responded with a 10-2 win over Sawer Kaeser (Fort Smith, NT). Blyde went on to lose 8-3 against Julien Tremblay (Rimouski, QC). Blyde responded with a 6-4 win over Riley Fenson (Bemidji, MN). Blyde won 8-2 against Japan's Taisei Kanai in their final qualifying round match.
