Phillips lost 8-7 to Cathy Inglis (Yorkton, SK) where Phillips responded with a 8-1 win over Peggy Taylor (Kenora, NONT). Phillips won 6-5 against Elaine Roy (Kenogami, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
