Brown lost 5-3 to Laura Phillips (St. John's, NL) where Brown responded with a 4-3 win over Berry. Brown won 9-4 against Debbie Moss (Yellowknife, NT), then won 6-5 against Shelly Graham (Fredericton, NB) and 10-1 against Beverly Ford (Iqaluit, NU) in their final qualifying round match.
