In their opening game, Ogasawara defeated Natsuki Saitou (Aomori, JPN) 8-2, then won 10-4 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Nagano, JPN) and 9-8 against Touri Koana (Yamanashi, JPN). Ogasawara won 15-1 against Touka Furuta (Kitami, JPN), then won 12-3 against Masami Fujii (Nayaro, JPN). Ogasawara went on to lose 7-2 against Motohashi. Ogasawara responded with a 7-3 win over Japan's Rina Ida. Ogasawara won 13-1 against Emi Sato (Kyoto, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Japan Curling Championships Championship title, Ogasawara earned 5.200 world rankings points, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 21st place overall with 72.826 total points. Ogasawara ranks 19th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 53.550 points earned so far this season.
