Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) won 7-3 over Shinya Abe (Sapporo, JPN) in the Final of the Japan Curling Championships, held February 9 - 14, 2015 in Karuizawa, Japan.
 
Morozumi finished 7-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Morozumi defeated Hironori Yoshioka (Okayama, JPN) 7-5, then won 9-4 against Kouji Tsuruga (Kitami, JPN). Morozumi went on to lose 10-6 against Abe. Morozumi responded with a 7-5 win over Ryuji Shibatani (Kitami, JPN). Morozumi won 9-8 against Naoki Iwanaga (Tokyo, JPN), then won 12-5 against Japan's Doi Homaretoru and 7-3 against Kazuto Funaki (Aomori, JPN). Morozumi won 11-1 against Japan's Ryo Ogihara in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Japan Curling Championships Championship title, Morozumi earned 4.000 world rankings points, remaining in 21st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 3.005 after improving upon their best so far this season. Morozumi ranks 20th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 51.373 points earned so far this season.
