In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Lene Nielsen (Hvidovre, DEN) 7-5, then went on to lose 9-4 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, CAN). Muirhead lost 8-7 to Ayumi Ogasawara (Sapporo, JPN) where Muirhead responded with a 9-2 win over Aileen Sormunen (Blaine, USA). Muirhead won 8-7 against Kristin Skaslien (Oslo, NOR). Muirhead went on to lose 7-5 against Sijia Liu (Harbin, CHN). Muirhead responded with a 8-3 win over Sanna Puustinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Muirhead won 9-5 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS), then won 7-5 against Daniela Driendl (Fuessen, GER). Muirhead went on to lose 8-6 against Alina Paetz (Baden Regio, SUI). Muirhead responded with a 10-7 win over Margaretha Sigfridsson (Skelleftea, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Muirhead earned 20.000 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the World Women's Curling Championship, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 15 after improving upon their best so far this season. Muirhead ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 165.305 points earned so far this season.
