Nielsen lost 10-3 to Sijia Liu (Harbin, CHN) where Nielsen responded with a 8-5 win over Aileen Sormunen (Blaine, USA). Nielsen won 7-1 against Kristin Skaslien (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Nielsen earned 8.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 42nd place overall with 43.000 total points. Nielsen ranks 34th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 28.000 points earned so far this season.
