Aitken finished 6-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Aitken defeated Marie Turmann (Tallinn, EST) 8-2, then won 6-4 against Alzbeta Baudysova (Prague, CZE) and 10-5 against Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE). Aitken won 8-2 against Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA). Aitken went on to lose 7-5 against Evgeniy Demkina (Moscow, RUS). Aitken lost 9-2 to Rocque where Aitken responded with a 11-6 win over Switzerland's Lisa Gisler. Aitken went on to lose 7-6 against Korea's Eun Bi Kim. Aitken responded with a 16-2 win over Hetty Garnier (Kent, ENG) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the World Junior Curling Championships, Aitken take home 5.000 world rankings points, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 81st place overall with 16.118 total points. Aitken ranks 59th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.760 points earned so far this season.
