Hazel Smith (Kilmarnock, SCO) finished 4-6 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith lost 12-1 to Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO), then responded with a 6-5 win over Katie Murray (Edinburgh, SCO). Smith went on to lose 10-1 against Hannah Fleming (Lockerbie, SCO). Smith lost 9-5 to Gina Aitken (Stirling, SCO) where Smith responded with a 8-7 win over Lauren Gray (Stirling, SCO). Smith won 5-3 against Muirhead, then won 8-3 against Murray. Smith went on to lose 8-1 against Fleming. Smith lost 6-3 to Aitken. Smith lost 9-7 to Gray in their final qualifying round match.

Smith earned 1.214 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 30 spots the World Ranking Standings into 191st place overall with 2.214 total points. Smith ranks 187th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.214 points earned so far this season.
